Why the children need a computer

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Continuing with our daily posts on why children from FRCCF would need a computer, we have today Cristina, 11 years old who says: ” I use the computer for downloading information on the internet, I use the computer to play on it, to do my homework and find out a bunch of information I don’t know. I want a computer to achieve these things.”

If you want to help Cristina and the other kids have access to a better education go to www.licensetohope.com/contribute.

Why do children want a computer

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Hello dear supporters of License To Hope. We hope you had a great Easter with your families and friends.

We went last week to see some of the children at the foundation and we were really surprised on how energic,  joyfull and playfull they were.

We talked to some of them and among some questions we asked them why they want a computer through the License to Hope campaign. We selected some of their answers and we will publish each of them day by day for 1 week in our blog posts and Facebook, so that you have an idea of how the fact of having a computer and working on it is reflected through the children’s eyes and mind.

Vasilica, 10 years old says: ” I would want a computer for studying and chatting with other children on the internet. I would go on internet to find some of my friends , play and also communicate with my relatives from abroad and wish them good health when it’s holiday times”.

You can contribute directly through the License to Hope campaign.

It’s up to us to help them!

License to Hope

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

This is the official blog of the License to Hope campaign.

The purpose of this campaign is to help underprivileged children in Romania to have access to a better education regarding technology. We will be providing the children with 50 laptops and the education required for their proper use. The money will come from companies and individuals who are interested in protecting their data as well as helping these children.

If I am a company or an individual user and I want to support this campaign I can buy a license for Secure it Easy (the software application which prevents unauthorized use of devices and decreases the risk of data loss) and half of those money will be used to buy laptops for the children.

Two teams (CoSoSys and FRCCF) are working on this project. During the campaign we will post here periodical results. If you support us or you want to leave us any message you can do it through the contact mail or by leaving a comment here.
